Oh gosh, I’ve been gone for awhile.  Sorry about that.  If it’s any consolation to my nonexistent readers, you weren’t the only ones neglected.  Blogging, reading, writing, journaling, managing to keep a planner, and basically every non-necessary function has fallen by the wayside over the last few months.  Heck, even our kitchen calendar still has our August plans.  It’s October now.  Clearly, I’m on top of things.

In April we got our first foster placement.  It was crazy.  Good, but crazy.  I’ll share a bit of our experience in the next week or so.   It was definitely an adventure.

We also took a trip of some sort every month this summer.  Disneyland twice.  Amtrak to comic-con with three small kids (never again).  Cabin camping.  RV camping.

Then our little buddy left us just in time for school starting.  We now have a kindergartener and a preschooler.  We’ve been waiting patiently for another placement while I have free time to myself twice a week for the first time in five years.

I feel so crazy just writing this. I can also tell I’ve been neglecting the art of writing because I’m a discombobulated mess.  The gist is, I’m back.  I’m blogging again.  It’ll probably be terribly written for awhile.
